大阪・関西万博で体験したアメリカパビリオン。親子で「未来」を体感した、心に残る一日になりました。閉幕を迎えた大阪・関西万博。幸運にも私は二回訪れることができました。その中で特に印象に残ったのは、アメリカパビリオン。来場者20万人を超える大混雑の中、見学できたのは本当に幸運でした。長い行列に並びながら、「持ってきてよかった」と感じたのが折りたたみ椅子。これが大正解で、待ち時間の疲れを軽くしてくれました。周りを見ると、同じように椅子を持参している人がたくさんいました。待っている間も退屈しません。巨大なスクリーンが次々にアメリカ各地を紹介してくれます。私はアメリカに行ったことがないので、映し出される街並みや自然の景色がとても新鮮でした。都会のきらびやかさも、田舎の大自然も、どちらもスケールが大きくて感動しました。いよいよ館内へ。アメリカ館のキャラクターが画面いっぱいに現れて、国の歴史や文化を楽しく紹介してくれます。娘も目を輝かせながら「かわいい」と大喜びでした。そして何より圧巻だったのは、ロケットの発射シーン。下から見上げる巨大スクリーンに映し出されるその映像は、まるで自分たちがロケットに乗り込んで宇宙に飛び立つような迫力。無重力の映像では、本当に体が浮いているような気がして、娘も大興奮でした。その後は月の石展示へ。「どんなに大きいんだろう」とワクワクしていた私たちでしたが、実際に見てみると意外に小さくて驚きました。「え、これなの？」とつい声が出てしまいましたが、それもまた思い出のひとつです。この日は他にも、ベトナム館、オーストラリア館、北欧館、住友林業館、パソナ館などを見学しました。どの館も映像演出が素晴らしく、まるで映画の中にいるような臨場感でした。世界の最先端の映像技術とアイデアに触れながら、娘と一緒に笑って驚いて、あっという間の一日。この日の体験が、娘の中で「未来ってすごい」と感じるきっかけになったらうれしいです。親子で未来を感じた万博の一日。世界中のワクワクが集まる場所は、やっぱり特別でした。＾＾

今天的團體貴賓，是由8位寺院住持夫人組成的小團體。

在與代表者預約洽談時，就已深深感受到對方溫柔柔和的氛圍，因此一直很期待當天能與各位相見。

實際蒞臨時，現場瀰漫著彼此珍惜、互相照顧的溫暖氣氛，

也讓人更加期待接下來即將開始的和紙手作體驗，是一組讓人心頭暖洋洋的貴賓們。

這次各位選擇的體驗內容是「和紙ころころ」與「紙盤製作」。

因為兩種體驗的費用相同，大家可以毫無負擔地挑選自己喜歡的項目，

在沉穩安靜的氣氛中，「妳做的那個也好美呢」這樣的對話自在地流動，現場洋溢著和諧又溫馨的氣息。

選擇紙盤製作的貴賓們，一邊與工作人員討論，一邊仔細思考剪紙的配置，

那專注的身影給人留下深刻印象。

尤其是金色和紙，一旦貼上作品會立刻變得華麗，因此大家一邊參考工作人員的建議，

一邊從多種金色花紋中挑選「就是這一張！」的關鍵一枚，完成各自心中的理想作品。

另一方面，選擇和紙ころころ體驗的貴賓們，

在把選好的「臉部和紙」貼到球體上時，也有稍微為「要把平面的紙貼到球面上」這件事而苦戰的片刻。

在協助微調的作品中，

有的部位像是「法令紋」一樣出現小皺摺，

我們一邊說著「這些皺摺我們好好把它撫平吧」，

一邊使用鑷子，慢慢地、細心地幫大家整理。

由於美濃和紙既柔軟又堅韌，只要溫柔對待，它一定會好好回應您。

比較不容易起皺的貼法小訣竅是：

・臉部用的和紙剪得小一點

・白膠（黏著劑）要確實塗勻

・貼上之後要慢慢地、輕柔地把表面撫平

這三個重點。

我們一邊和各位確認，一邊循序漸進地完成作品。

在裝飾的時間裡，

當我們示範立體小花的做法與和服的穿法時，

場內不時響起「哎呀，好漂亮呢」「原來如此」等溫柔的驚喜聲，

在靜謐之中，卻能清楚感受到大家真心享受其中的那份喜悅。

也有貴賓加選了屏風或黑色底座等選項，

讓作品更增添了一份「特別感」。

即使是同樣的素材，完成後的樣貌也完全不同。

每一件作品都充分展現了製作者本人的風格與氣質，成為美麗又獨一無二的作品。

我們的家鄉美濃市！　點綴美濃市秋日景色的「助右ヱ門先生的楓紅」

位於美濃市長瀨地區的「助右ヱ門先生楓紅」，今年也迎來楓葉再次染紅山谷、最適合日本賞楓旅行與巴士團觀光的季節。

這株矗立在板取川河畔的紅葉樹，相傳是明治時代紙商・武井助右ヱ門先生，從京都嵐山帶回幼苗親手栽種而來，見證了日本和紙文化與當地歷史的變遷。

自那以來約150年，一直在當地居民細心守護之下，成為代表美濃地區秋天景色的經典畫面，也是日本中部地區廣受歡迎的賞楓名所。

沿著河岸種植的約30棵楓樹倒映在水面上，白天可欣賞湛藍秋空與火紅楓葉形成的強烈對比，夜晚則有燈光點綴，營造出夢幻又浪漫的夜楓景致，非常適合日本團體旅遊行程安排。

今年的夜間點燈期間為11月15日（週六）至11月30日（週日）。

點燈時間為晚間5點至9點。

以江戶時代至今沿用的古民家改裝而成的店內空間，正期待您的到來。

・まゆ「みの」日記　在家電賣場發現的「幸福小啟示」

前陣子，為了更換家電，我去了一趟家電量販店K’s。

接待我的是一位和我年紀差不多的女性店員。

老實說，我一下子就愛上她的服務方式了＾＾

首先，她在幫忙挑選商品時的用詞真的很動人，

會說「那我們選比較幸福的那一款吧～」「有這個功能的生活會更幸福喔」，

以「幸福」作為選擇標準，用柔和的語氣慢慢與我分享。

聽著她的話，不知不覺就會想像自己在家中使用這些家電的樣子，心裡也跟著暖了起來。

在閒聊中，

她還說：「我把所有品牌的電子鍋都煮過一輪飯，自己做過全面品嚐喔。」

這樣的驚人小故事也分享給我聽。

她用「一入口就柔和地甜」「之後慢慢在口中蔓延的甜味」等方式來形容白飯的甘甜，她那一整套「電子鍋理論」非常豐富，讓我聽得完全著迷。

在介紹冷氣時也是如此，

她不只是以「有沒有自動清潔濾網」來判斷機種，

・還會實際操作示範，自動清潔濾網上累積的灰塵要如何拆下與清理，各款機型有何差異

・會提醒因靠近廚房容易沾上油煙，所以是否具備防油汙塗層等功能

・甚至連請專業廠商來清除黴菌時，因為有無濾網而造成費用不同，她也一一說明清楚

等等，這些說明書上看不到、卻非常貼近日常生活的重點，她都耐心地教給我。

她的知識量簡直不輸專業家電達人，又同時具備生活者視角的貼心解說。

再加上她開朗、聲音清楚、好懂易聽，又完全沒有任何強迫推銷的感覺，讓這次購物變成一段十分愉快的時光。

能遇見這麼棒的一位女性，

也讓我在介紹自家商品時，心裡多了一份期許——

「想成為那種能從各種角度，傳遞當下客人真正需要資訊的人」。

一邊與她交談，我一邊在心中再次強烈地這樣期許自己。

At the “Mino Washi Craft Experience Shop Ishikawa Paper Goods,”

our handmade experiences let you enjoy traditional Japanese culture with all five senses.

While discovering the beauty and history of Mino Washi paper, you can create one-of-a-kind dolls and accessories found nowhere else in the world.

You can feel the soft texture of washi, enjoy choosing colors and patterns, and have fun shaping your own ideas – a hands-on Japanese cultural experience that stimulates all five senses♪

We are located right in the heart of Mino’s historic town!

Our shop stands in the Udatsu-no-agaru old townscape, in a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.

Inside this Edo-period building, constructed in 1760 and featuring a traditional “udatsu” firewall, everyone can enjoy making Mino Washi crafts together.

From solo travelers to groups of up to 45 guests (about one sightseeing bus), everyone can join a workshop at the same time.

Today’s group consisted of eight wives of temple priests.

From the moment I first spoke with the representative when making the reservation, I was struck by her gentle manner and had been looking forward to meeting everyone in person.

When they actually arrived, the group was wrapped in a warm, considerate atmosphere,

and it felt like the upcoming experience would be even more enjoyable thanks to their kindness and calm energy.

For this visit, they chose the Washi Korokoro doll and washi paper plate workshops.

Both options are the same price, so each person can freely choose the one they prefer,

and in the relaxed atmosphere we heard gentle comments like “Yours is lovely too,” as quiet conversations flowed peacefully.

Those making paper plates carefully discussed the layout of the cut-paper decorations with our staff,

and their thoughtful approach to composition was very impressive.

Gold washi especially makes a piece instantly more festive, so referring to the staff’s advice,

they chose the perfect “this is it” gold pattern from several options and finished their works in their own style.

On the other side, those making Washi Korokoro dolls

were a little puzzled at times by the challenge of attaching flat washi for the face onto a round ball shape.

On one piece that we helped adjust,

wrinkles had appeared in a spot that looked like “smile lines,”

so while saying, “Let’s smooth out these wrinkles nicely,”

we slowly and carefully fixed them with tweezers.

Because Mino Washi is both supple and strong, it always responds if you handle it gently.

The three key tips for minimizing wrinkles are:

・Cut the facial washi slightly smaller,

・Apply plenty of glue, and

・After attaching, stretch the paper slowly and gently.

We proceeded step by step while checking these points together.

During the decorating time,

we introduced how to make three-dimensional flowers and how to attach kimono parts,

and we heard soft voices all around saying “How lovely” and “I see,”

as a quiet yet unmistakable sense of enjoyment spread through the room.

Some guests also chose optional folding screens and black bases,

adding an extra feeling of “specialness” to their finished pieces.

Even when using the same materials, the finished works are truly diverse.

Each piece reflected the personality of its creator and turned into a beautiful work of art.

(We enjoyed the conversations so much that we forgot to take photos…)

It is a time to slowly shape “what you love” in your own way.

And you can take your completed work home with you as a unique Japanese souvenir.

Especially at this time of year, our **Year of the Horse zodiac (uma)** themed experience is very popular,

as guests create decorations to display for the New Year.

Our hometown Mino City! Autumn in Mino colored by the beautiful maple leaves at Mr. Sukeemon’s place

The famous “Sukeemon’s Maple Trees” in the Nagase district of Mino City have once again entered the season when their autumn leaves turn beautifully vivid.

These maple trees stand along the Itadori River. It is said that a paper wholesaler named Sukeemon Takei planted saplings he brought back from Arashiyama in Kyoto during the Meiji era.

For roughly 150 years since then, this iconic autumn foliage scenery of Mino has been lovingly protected by local residents.

Around 30 maple trees planted along the river are reflected on the water’s surface, offering a striking contrast between the clear autumn sky and colorful leaves by day, and a magical illuminated landscape by night.

This year, the illumination period runs from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 30.

The lights are on from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On Saturday, November 15, events will also be held from the afternoon.

Please come and enjoy these beautiful maple trees, whose appearance changes between the bright daytime and the evening illumination.

Access: approximately 20 minutes by car from the Mino IC.

There is also a free parking area, making it convenient for self-drive sightseeing in Gifu, Japan.

After enjoying the autumn leaves, we also invite you to stop by

Mino Washi, a proud cultural asset of Mino City and a traditional Japanese paper registered by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Founded 123 years ago, Ishikawa Paper Goods hopes people all over the world will learn about and enjoy the traditions and beauty of Mino Washi.

With that wish in mind, we have launched a very special project!

Its name is…

“YOU – Why did you come to Ishikawa Paper Goods for Washi?” Campaign!

Ishikawa Paper Goods is located right in the center of Mino City’s historic Udatsu-no-agaru townscape.

Our shop is a designated building within the Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings,

housed in a traditional Edo-period home built in 1760 that has been carefully renovated to welcome visitors from Japan and abroad.

Inside the shop we display a world map and a map of Japan where visitors can place a sticker on their home country or prefecture.

As the number of stickers grows, you can see at a glance just how far Ishikawa Paper Goods’ Mino Washi experiences have spread around the globe.

Watching the maps gradually fill up with colorful stickers is exciting for both staff and guests.

◆ JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) “SLIM” (Smart Lander for Investigating Moon) has become a Washi Korokoro doll!

Our Washi Korokoro dolls are designed as good-luck “okiagari koboshi” roly-poly charms that stand up again and again, symbolizing the Japanese saying “nanakorobi yaoki” – fall seven times, stand up eight.

・Mayu “Mino” Diary – A hint of happiness I found at an electronics store

The other day, I went to an electronics store called K’s to replace some home appliances.

The staff member who helped me was a woman around the same age as me.

As a matter of fact, I ended up really loving the way she handled customer service＾＾

First of all, the way she spoke when helping me choose products was truly wonderful.

She used phrases like “Let’s go with the option that brings you more happiness…” and “This function will make your life feel happier,”

so that “happiness” became the standard for choosing, all in a soft, gentle tone.

Listening to her words, I could naturally imagine myself using the appliances she introduced, and my heart felt warm.

During our small talk,

she even shared a surprising story: “I cooked rice in all the rice cookers from each manufacturer and compared them.”

It was such an impressive episode.

Her “rice cooker theory” was incredibly rich, describing the sweetness of rice as “it tastes softly sweet at first” or “the sweetness settles in gradually afterward,” and I found myself completely drawn into her explanations.

Even when explaining air conditioners,

she didn’t just focus on whether there was an automatic cleaning filter or not.

Instead, she:

・Demonstrated, for each model, how to remove the dust that accumulates in the automatic filter cleaning system

・Explained that since our kitchen is nearby, we should consider whether the unit has a coating that resists oil stains

・Told us about the difference in cleaning costs when hiring a professional to remove mold, depending on whether the air conditioner has a cleaning filter or not

She carefully shared all these practical points that you won’t necessarily find in the instruction manual, from the perspective of real everyday life.

Her level of knowledge could rival a “home appliance geek” on TV, yet she also had the warm perspective of a regular user.

Her explanations were bright, clear and easy to understand, without any pushy sales talk – it made the shopping time itself feel truly enjoyable.

Meeting such a wonderful woman,

I found myself thinking that when I introduce our own products,

“I want to become someone who can provide the information that particular customer needs at that moment, from many different angles.”

Talking with her renewed that desire in me in a very strong way.

来自负责人的一句话　～山下小记～

承蒙关照，这里是电子报负责人山下。

各位，今年好像正好是米菲兔（Miffy）诞生 70 周年。大家知道吗？

？

也就是说，米菲小姐需要庆祝“古稀”了！

而且，在众多角色中，我也非常喜欢米菲兔，所以一边提高心情与“气场”，一边整装待发。结果当天却下雨了。自称“晴女”的山下，这次失手了呢。

因为前一天周六的美浓 COS 活动被我祈祷成了大晴天，结果把真正重头戏的周日给忘了。转念一想，反正是在室内举行，也就释怀了，

于是整装待发，出发！

我为什么那么喜欢米菲兔呢？大概是因为绘本里用色非常少吧。而且线条信息也很简洁，却仍然可爱到不行。

即便没有腮红，也是“没有腮红也可爱的角色代表”。在博物馆里，一边了解米菲兔的历史，一边看到画风细微变化，这种感觉很有趣。

　日本动画的角色脸部特征，也会随着时代潮流而改变吧。比如《鬼太郎》《哆啦A梦》、还有《宝可梦》尤其明显。仔细一看，连线稿的黑色也会有细微的色差，观察这些变化非常有意思。

　人类是容易感到厌倦的生物，所以画风不断变化，或许也是顺应人类天性的结果吧。（山下也想画画变得更好看呀。）

　各位如果尝试画一次米菲兔就会发现，只要五官位置稍微有一点不同，神奇地就会变成“只是只普通兔子”。正因为简单，所以似乎存在某种黄金比例。

大家有机会也可以试着画画看，如果找到画得好的秘诀，请一定告诉山下。

本日の団体様は、お寺の奥様方8名。

代表の方とご予約時にお話をさせていただいた際から、そのやわらかい雰囲気が印象的で、当日お会いできるのを心待ちにしておりました。

実際にお越しいただくと、皆さま互いを思いやる穏やかな空気に包まれており、

これから始まる体験がより一層楽しみになる、あたたかな皆さまでした。

今回お選びいただいた体験は、和紙ころころと紙皿づくり。

どちらも同一料金のため、お好きなほうを気兼ねなく選んでいただけ、

落ち着いた雰囲気の中にも「そちらも素敵ですね」と、静かな会話が和やかに弾んでいました。

紙皿づくりの皆さまは、スタッフと相談しながら、

切り紙の配置を丁寧に考える姿がとても印象的でした。

特に、金色の和紙は作品が一気に華やぐため、スタッフのアドバイスを参考に、

いくつかの金色の柄の中から“ここぞ”の一枚を選び、思い思いに仕上げていかれました。

一方、和紙ころころの皆さまは、

選んだ和紙のお顔を貼る際、球体に平面を貼るむずかしさに少し戸惑われる場面も。

お直しをお手伝いした作品では、

“ほうれい線”のような位置にシワが寄ってしまい、

「このしわはしっかり取りましょうね」とお声がけしながら、

ピンセットを使ってゆっくり丁寧に整えさせていただきました。

美濃和紙はしなやかで丈夫なため、優しく扱えば必ず応えてくれます。

しわになりにくい貼り方のコツは、

・顔の和紙は小さめに切る

・ボンドをしっかりつける

・貼った後はゆっくりと伸ばす

この3つ。

皆さまと確認しながら、進めていきました。

飾りつけの時間には、

立体的な花の作り方や、着物の付け方をご紹介すると、

「まあ素敵」「なるほど」など、落ち着いた声があちこちから聞こえ、

静かに、しかし確かな楽しさが広がっていきました。

屏風や黒台をオプションで選ばれた方もいらっしゃり、

作品により“特別感”を添えていらっしゃいました。

同じ素材でも、仕上がりは本当にさまざま。

どれもその方らしさがにじむ、美しい作品に仕上がりました。

（お話が弾みすぎて、写真を撮りそびれてしまいました…）

“自分の好き”をゆっくり形にしていく時間。

そして完成した作品は、そのままお持ち帰りいただけます。

特に今の季節は、来年のお正月に飾れる**干支・午（うま）**の体験が人気です。

研修旅行のひとときに、心がふっとほどける和紙の時間を、

我が町美濃市！　美濃市の秋を彩る　助右ヱ門さんの紅葉

美濃市の長瀬地区にある「助右ヱ門さんのもみじ」が、今年も美しく色づく季節を迎えました。

板取川沿いに立つこの紅葉は、明治時代に紙問屋・武井助右ヱ門さんが京都・嵐山から持ち帰った苗を植えたのが始まりと伝えられています。

以来およそ150年、地域の方々に大切に守られてきた、美濃を代表する秋の風景です。

川沿いに植えられたおよそ30本のもみじが水面に映り込み、昼間は澄んだ秋空と紅葉のコントラスト、夜はライトアップされた幻想的な景観を楽しむことができます。

今年のライトアップ期間は、11月15日（土）から11月30日（日）まで。

点灯時間は午後5時から9時までです。

11月15日（土）は、午後からイベントも開催します。

昼と夜で表情の変わる美しいもみじを、ぜひご覧ください。

アクセスは、美濃ICから車で約20分。

無料駐車場も設けられていますので、お車での観光にも便利です。

・まゆ“みの”日記　家電ショップで見つけた“幸せのヒント

先日、家電の買い替えのためにケーズさんへ伺いました。

担当してくださったのは、私と同年代の女性。

実は私は、この方の接客がとても好きになっちゃいました＾＾

まず、商品を選ぶときの言葉づかいが本当に素敵で、

「～幸せなほうを…」「この機能があると幸せですね」

と、選ぶ基準が幸せという単語で、ふんわりした口調で話してくださいます。

その言葉を聞いていると、紹介された家電を使っている自分が自然と想像できて、心があたたかくなってきます。

雑談の中では、

「全メーカーの炊飯器でご飯を炊いて食べ比べしてみたんです」

という驚きのエピソードまで。

お米の甘さを「最初にふわっと甘い」「あとからじんわり甘い」と表現するなど多岐におよび、彼女の“炊飯器論”は実に豊かで、思わず引き込まれてしまいました。

エアコンの説明でも、

「お掃除フィルターがあるかどうか」だけで判断せず、

・自動お掃除フィルターにたまったゴミの取り方を、機種ごとに実演しながら説明

・キッチンが近いのと油汚れがつくので、油汚れが付きにくい加工があるかどうか

・業者へカビ取りを依頼した際、フィルターの有無による料金の違い

など、説明書には載っていない実生活に寄り添った視点を、丁寧に教えてくれました。

まさに家電芸人顔負けの知識量と、生活者の目線を併せ持った解説。

さらに、明るく明瞭で聞き取りやすく、押しつけがましさのない接客がとても心地よく、買い物の時間がより楽しいものになりました。

こんな素敵な女性に出会うことができて、

私も、自社商品をご紹介する際には、

“その時のお客様に必要な情報を、さまざまな角度からお伝えできる人になりたい”。

彼女とお話ししながら、そんな思いを改めて強くしました。

We received a request from Terakoya Co., Ltd. (Kyoto) to create goods related to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and produced them at our factory. Did you know that Miffy turns exactly 70 this year?

In other words, it’s time to celebrate Miffy’s 70th-birthday “koki” milestone!

Miffy is also one of my favorite characters, so I even dressed up a little, lifting both my mood and my heels. But then… it rained. As someone who usually considers herself a “sunny girl”, I really dropped the ball this time.

It seems I used up all my sunshine power making the Mino cosplay event on Saturday nice and clear, and forgot to make my main outing on Sunday sunny. Still, since the exhibition was indoors, I gave up worrying about the weather and…

off I went!

She might be the ultimate example of a character who looks adorable even without rosy cheeks. Since it’s a museum, you can also learn about Miffy’s history, and it’s fascinating to see how the drawing style has changed subtly over the years.
