Guided by our brand philosophy, “Washi Maker’s Handcrafted Work,” we manufacture, wholesale, and supply premium Mino Washi Japanese goods. We blend traditional Japanese crafts with modern entertainment value to plan, develop, manufacture, and sell products. What is the Kawagoe Festival...?▼

The Kawagoe Festival (officially the “Dashi Float Event of the Kawagoe Hikawa Festival”) is

a traditional and dynamic festival held every year on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of October in Kawagoe City, Saitama, set against the “Koedo” old-town warehouse district streetscape.

In 2005, it was designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan, and in 2016 it was inscribed as part of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage “Yama, Hoko, Yatai float festivals.”

On top of the festival floats are “karakuri dolls” representing figures from history, mythology, and legends. One float features “Ushiwakamaru (Minamoto no Yoshitsune)” as its motif.
