The mascot character of Bansho-ji Temple (Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture) has become a handy magnet!!

Inari fox deity × Mino Washi

“Mino Washi Magnet Hakubi-kun” ↓

What is Bansho-ji Temple? ↓

Bansho-ji Temple in Osu, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is a historic temple founded in the 16th century by Oda Nobuhide, the father of Oda Nobunaga. Located in the heart of the Osu shopping district, it is a local landmark known for stories related to Nobunaga and for its mechanical doll performances.

The mascot character “Hakubi-kun” is based on the Inari fox said to have long lived at Bansho-ji Temple; the motif is a white fox.

For more about Bansho-ji Temple, please see here (official Bansho-ji website).

At Bansho-ji Temple’s request for a collaboration with Mino Washi, we produced this item at our company.

The adorable Hakubi-kun has been turned into a Mino Washi magnet!

This magnet is made from multiple layers of washi, so it can hold several memos at once and is very practical.

The “Mino Washi Magnet Hakubi-kun” is designed so that a traditional koban-shaped coin can be held in place!

It is currently on sale within the grounds of Bansho-ji Temple.

For sales inquiries, please contact the retailer directly.
