We received a request from Terakoya Co., Ltd. (Kyoto) to create goods related to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and produced them at our factory. Thanks to their adorable appearance, we were happy to hear comments such as “I wish I could buy these somewhere!” from visitors – a great example of OEM Japanese souvenirs for tourist destinations.

What is the “National Blood Donation Promotion Convention”…?

      

It is an annual convention held in July to promote blood donation nationwide, aiming to encourage understanding and cooperation from every citizen. The event is hosted jointly by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Japanese Red Cross Society and the host prefecture as part of the “Love’s Blood Donation Mutual Aid Campaign”. In particular, it encourages understanding and participation in blood donation among younger generations, honors contributors to blood donation, and serves as a platform to promote blood donation activities across Japan.

Thank you as always. This is Yamashita, in charge of this email newsletter.

Did you know that Miffy turns exactly 70 this year?

In other words, it’s time to celebrate Miffy’s 70th-birthday “koki” milestone!

Miffy is also one of my favorite characters, so I even dressed up a little, lifting both my mood and my heels. But then… it rained. As someone who usually considers herself a “sunny girl”, I really dropped the ball this time.

It seems I used up all my sunshine power making the Mino cosplay event on Saturday nice and clear, and forgot to make my main outing on Sunday sunny. Still, since the exhibition was indoors, I gave up worrying about the weather and…

off I went!

She might be the ultimate example of a character who looks adorable even without rosy cheeks. Since it’s a museum, you can also learn about Miffy’s history, and it’s fascinating to see how the drawing style has changed subtly over the years.
